Sunscreens are one of the few non-invasive methods of preventing malignant skin tumors. Their availability, including affordability, plays a key role in reducing the incidence of disease. The device allows determining the actual effectiveness of commercial SPF products, providing additional guarantees for consumers and small businesses.

Its relevance is confirmed by the fact that the discrepancy between the SPF level stated on the label is a common problem that poses a risk to users' health.

The proposed device provides rapid testing at an affordable price and can reduce the scale of this problem. When integrated with additional systems, in particular mathematical data processing methods, it can become a full-fledged replacement for spectrophotometers. Thus, the developed device will contribute to improving the safety, accessibility, and economic efficiency of sunscreens.
