Current problems, in particular the war in Ukraine, highlight the need to create functional military clothing that provides comfort, protection, and health preservation. A promising direction is the “Healthy Fleece” concept — innovative fleece materials that combine thermal insulation, hygienic, and antimicrobial properties. 

Antimicrobial treatment of such materials with biologically active surfactants (bio-surfactants) provides long-term protection against microorganisms and reduces the risk of infectious diseases among military personnel who are in difficult conditions without the possibility of regular washing of clothing. In addition, bio-surfactants prevent fiber damage and reduce unpleasant odors, improving comfort during prolonged wear.
