The acoustothermometer is designed for non-invasive measurement of deep body temperature with an accuracy of 0.2°C and a spatial resolution of 1 mm. The device operates exclusively in passive mode, i.e., it does not emit anything, but only registers the thermal acoustic radiation generated by the human body, and is therefore completely safe to use.
The acoustic thermometer can be used in medical institutions for long-term monitoring of infants from the day of their birth; diagnosis of deep inflammations and various types of tumors at a depth of up to 7 cm; thermometry of the cochlea of the inner ear for differential diagnosis of hearing, including military personnel after mine-blast injuries; temperature control during hyperthermic action on malignant tumors and during physiotherapy. It is also possible to use an acoustothermometer at home for screening for cancer and monitoring physiotherapy. There is currently no equivalent device in the world.
